Our Seedlings class is designed for children between 12 and 24 months as of September 1. It offers both half-day and full-day options. Families can also choose between a M-F, M-W-F, or T/TH schedule.

Philosophy & Beliefs 

 

We follow the respectful parenting and RIE approach and also believe in PLAYWORK principles. 

​

We know that young children learn through hands-on sensory-based experiences, they need to touch, taste, smell and hear the materials in their environment. Together our rich environment and deep connections with children support optimal developmental growth. 

​

Individualized developmentally appropriate care with a primary carer is of utmost importance to us, therefore we follow the lead and needs of the child, being sure to observe and engage in ways that help us really know the child. 

​

We do not use any restrictive devices, but instead, encourage full use and movement of the body. Our environment is a yes space meaning all that is accessible is safe to touch and explore. 

​

Music, art, language, literacy, and nature are all experienced daily through authentic experiences together throughout our day.

What To Bring To School 

• A lunch (we cool and heat lunches) * DELC provides milk for meals 

• A fitted crib sheet 

• A small blanket 

• 2 full sets of clothes 

• Health Inventory Forms 

• A supply of diapers and wipes 

• Non medicated creams are allowed, medicated creams must have a medical form filled out by a doctor and parent. 

• Pacifier (if needed)

• Cup, Sippy Cup, or Bottle

• Family Photo 

• Lovey (special stuff toy if needed) 

Other Reminders 

• Dress for the weather, we go outside (send shoes daily) 

• Label ALL of your child’s items, including individual food containers, shoes, underwear, etc. 

• Sign your child in and out each day and fill out daily sheets
